The ultrasonic nozzle is the core component of the FogClean system. Ultrasonic nozzles create fog droplets below 10um that most closely match and most effectively agglomerate to pathogens. This is accomplished using compressed air to forcefully push air and liquid disinfectant into a converging and diverging venturi. The process creates a standing shockwave which shears the liquid into very fine droplets. The process also results in a charged fog droplet, similar to that of an electrostatic sprayer, but smaller. The charge further assists the fog in agglomerating with both airborne and surface pathogens.
